Gilles Plouffe
An actor and teacher driven by a profound passion for realistic acting, Gilles Plouffe founded his studio in Montreal after 35 years of artistic practice. He guides actors in their exploration of the Organic Creative Process, an approach that revealed itself to him as an undeniable truth, like falling in love.
His connection with John Strasberg spans 25 years. After intensive full-time training for 5 years, their collaboration continues to this day. His teaching is rooted in a living practice of the craft, nourished by decades of experience in theatre, film, and television. In 2006, he created Plateau Theatre, an intimate 25-seat space where he shares his art and where projects inspired by the greatest works come to life.
His mission: to offer a demanding yet nurturing learning environment where each actor can discover their truth and transform their craft profoundly.
